Digital Scanner at Oakthorpe

We are excited to announce the arrival of our new digital scanner. This remarkable piece of equipment allows us to take scanned images which are knitted together to provide a 3D image of teeth and gums to share with our technicians via email. This will potentially allow us to forgo the need to take impressions (of course this is case selective).

Since opening again on the 9th June we have worked as a small team to treat the emergencies accumulated during the lockdown , and also placing into action a set of operational procedures so we can provide a safe environment. These procedures have been continually revised and refined to allow us to now introduce routine treatments and the long-awaited hygienist service.

I do tell friends about this practice if they ask for a recommendation. I have always found it a lovely peaceful place to visit, and staff are friendly and professional, and so far as I can judge, highly competent. The magazines are good, and current, though you seldom wait long enough to do more than glance at them. It does seem expensive, but then I suppose any high-tech dentist would cost as much (I haven't looked into this because at present I can afford the needs of my teeth, and I like going there...)
